Historic Faneuil Hall contains several specialty stores. The Faneuil Hall Heritage Shop is located in the basement level of the building. From Congress Street, walk to the right of the Samuel Adams Statue, and descend the stairs next to the red door.

The Heritage Shop carries a wide variety of merchandise. A selection of product lines include pewter, scrimshaw, Harborlights collectibles, candles, calendars, historic maps, jewelry, Dedham pottery, and artistic prints of Boston landmarks. Faneuil Hall Heritage Shop is a unique store, and you can even buy a replica of Paul Revere's lantern, or a grasshopper weather vane similar to the gilded grasshopper atop Faneuil Hall.

Pewter

Fine Pewter At The Heritage Shop

A large selection of pewter items are available. Many of them are replicas of 18th century American household items such as plates, tea sets, creamers, salt & pepper shakers, water or milk pitchers, beer or wine mugs, and several different serving and eating utensils. Also available is an assortment of pewter fantasy figurines?from Star Wars heroes to mythical dragons?as well as animal subjects such as frog or moose decorative figurines.

Scrimshaw

Rare Scrimshaw At The Heritage Shop

The store carries many hard to find engraved or imprinted scrimshaw products made of bone or shed antler. Nautical engravings are popular, with fishing knives, money clips, and key chains available. Distinctive magnifying glasses and letter openers make great gifts, and you can also browse an assortment of bangles. Bookmarks made from recycled piano keys are big favorites.

Artwork

Fine prints of Boston landmarks are available in the shop. Some of the subjects include Fenway Park, the Back Bay and Charles River, the Hancock Tower or Prudential Center, Rowes Wharf, Old Ironsides, Faneuil Hall, the Lenny Zakim Bridge, or the Massachusetts State House. The prints are matted and can be purchased framed or unframed. Prints of several historic maps of 18th century Boston can also be found at the Heritage Shop.

Reproductions

When decorating your country farmhouse or colonial home, you may consider hard to find items such as reproductions of  1700s lanterns. The Heritage Shop is the only store in downtown Boston to find antique-styled weathervanes and other period reproductions.

Giftware

Dedham glass (cats and bunnies are popular), picture frames, coffee cups, collectible plates, books, calendars, candles, baskets, pins, jewelry, and many other items are available in the store. If you are visiting Boston or just strolling at lunch hour, a great place to shop is at the Heritage Shop in historic Faneuil Hall!
