Project Cupid Date Auction

Project Cupid was founded in 2009 by Amy Blue after her nine-year-old cousin lost his battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia only days before his tenth birthday.
On Saturday February 11, 2012, The Estate, located at Boylston Place in Boston, will host the 3rd Annual Project Cupid Charity Date Auction to benefit the Acute Myelogenous Leukemia research of Dr. Kimberly Stegmaier's, at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
The auction allows people to bid on Boston's most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. In addition, there will be an opportunity drawing, live music, a live auction, and some exciting love connections.
In previous years, the auction began with an introduction to the bachelors and bachelorettes. Participants could win a date with the Bachelor or Bachelorette. The bachelors and bachelorettes were culled from local professionals who have an interest in helping put an end to cancer by donating their most precious resource, their time. Immediately following the date auction are usually a live auction and opportunity drawings featuring gift certificates, sports memorabilia, and gift baskets from Boston area businesses and sports teams.
"The Estate brings the area's nightlife entertainment to another level of luxury with the utmost attention to service, ambiance, and music. The Estate can accommodate groups of up to 700 people in spaces adorned with baroque accents, an oversized fireplace, multiple chandeliers, and full-length mirrors. The twisting arrangements of intimate seating areas provide comfort to guests, while a massive two-story, open-air dance atrium with a wrap-around balcony offers unbeatable people watching."
