Boylston Place is located on Boylston Street near Tremont. Dexwell's Private School was located on Boylston Place. In 1862, the first organized football club in America was established there by students. The football games were played on Boston Common--across Boylston Street on the other side of Central Burying Ground--from 1862 to 1865. Today, restaurants and nightclubs are in this short alley. |
