Bunker Hill Monument is the last stop on the Freedom Trail. The obelisk was completed in 1843, with President Tyler present at the dedication. Daniel Webster gave a famous speech at this event. The monument commerorates the Battle of Bunker Hill between British and American forces that took place on June 17th, 1775. |
