Paul Revere's Midnight Ride |
|
A postcard image of Paul Revere landing at Charlestown after rowing from Boston. He then made his famous Midnight Ride to Lexington, warning the surrounding countryside that "the regulars are coming out" of Boston (often incorrectly stated, "the British are coming"). William Dawes rode south via Boston Neck, and also warned that General Gage was on his way. |
