Prohibition Comic Card

Although unrelated to Boston history, the above image is related to a very historic subject. During American alcohol Prohibition (1920-1933), people were so desperate for alcohol that they often brewed or distilled it at home. "Bathtub Gin" was slang for homemade hard liquor. Some concoctions induced complete blindness. Alcohol Prohibition in American history was of course a complete failure.
