A view of the George Washington equestrian statue in the Boston Public Garden, near the entrance at Arlington Street and Commonwealth Avenue. The statue was erected in 1869, and the artist was Thomas Ball. The statue is 22 feet in height, and its base stands 16 feet high, for a total of 38 feet from ground level to its apex.
