Sherry Tom & Jerry
Eggnog Recipe (10 Servings)
4 eggs
3/4 cup confectionery sugar
5 cups sherry
2 1/2 cups boiling water
Nutmeg
Separate eggs. Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick. Beat
egg whites stiff. Fold yolks into whites, blending well. Pour boiling water
into mugs and bowl to preheat them. Heat sherry and boiling water just to
simmering. Do not boil. Empty water from bowl and mugs. Fill bowl with
egg-sugar mixture. Pour heated wine and water into bowl; stir well. To
serve, fill mugs and sprinkle each with a dash of nutmeg.
