CAPT JOE V. MEIGS IS BURIED
Funeral Takes Place at Home of His Son, Dr Meigs, at Centralville
"LOWELL, Nov 16 — The funeral of Capt Joe V. Meigs took place this afternoon at the home of one of his sons, Dr Joe V. Meigs Jr. 115 10th st, Centraville. There was a large attendance of old residents, including members of the Loyal Legion and Grand Army.
Rev Charles T. Billings, pastor of the Unitarian church, officiated, and there was singing by the Apollo quartet.
Burial was in Lowell cemetery. William E. Hall, A. K. Chadwick, Hon E. M. Tucke, Col Percy Parker, Capt Gardner W. Pearson and Hon Charles D. Palmer were bearers."
