Old North Church Angel Wings

Old North Church Article Old North Church Angel Wings

A view of the interior of the Old North Church behind the figure of an angel. Two angel statues were captured from a French vessel by privateers in 1746, and were presented to the church as an offering. The pulpit and sounding cap above it are visible to the left of the angel. The cherubs are located in the front of the church on the upper level. A tour by friendly and knowledgeable staff is available for a relatively small fee, which allows access to the 2nd level and other historic places in the church. For educational purposes, the tour is recommended.
