Arched Windows In The Ames Building

Ames Building Arched Windows

A view of the arched windows in the facade of the Ames Building on State Street. The building is a masonry structure (no steel skeleton) and was constructed in 1889. It has ornate carvings that are quite attractive. The building is being completely renovated and will eventually become a hotel. The Old State House is located right across the street.
