A view of the Mercantile Wharf building
from State Street & Atlantic Avenue. After many landfills in this area, the building is
no longer a wharf, but is still a fine example of a Victorian stone structure in Boston. In the early 1970s, the building
was completely renovated, with residences placed in the upper stories, and businesses
located on
the ground floor. Arguably, the renovation of this building was a great inspiration
for the Qunciy Market project which was completed soon after. |
