A view of the famous Governor Winthrop statue which is located at Marlborough & Berkeley Streets in Boston. The statue originally stood in the middle of Scollay Square until the subway station was built there in 1895. Puritan Governor John Winthrop is clasping his Bible and gazing up at the heavens. |
