Copley Square During Lunch Hour

Copley Square Lunch Hour Copley Square Lunch Hour

A photo of Copley Square during lunch hour in July. Beautiful Trinity Church is central to the square, with the Berkeley Building and John Hancock Tower on the right. Many people picnic in the grassy part of the park on their lunch-hour. In the late 1960s, the park was created by filling-in a block of Huntington Avenue, which used to start at Boylston Street. Back then, where the grass above is today, was the center of Huntington Avenue, which used to dissect the square. Copley Place is located on the southwest corner of the square, and is a very popular shopping mall.
